Jeremy File

   Jeremy File was a local standout at area Hanover Horton High School.  Graduating in 2003, Jeremy led the Comets to the most wins ever that year (26) and a final four appearance at the Breslin Center.  Jeremy was a four year starter for Coach Chad Mortimer, and has 11 school records including most points at 1,519.  He was a 3 year all-state player, including being named captain of the Detroit Free Press 1st team.  He was a McDonalds All-American Nominee and goes down as the most decorated player in school history.

 

  After High School Jeremy Attended Western Michigan University.  As a freshman Jeremy won a MAC Championship in 2003-2004, as the Broncos won the most games in school history that season (26). 

 

  In 2005 Jeremy was the starting Point Guard for the Olivet College Comets after he had transferred from WMU.  He led the conference in 3 point percentage at 53% and averaged 14.5 ppg and 7.7 apg.

 

  Although his High school accolades and College were very Outstanding Jeremy's best years have been at the Professional level.  He has played In the International Basketball League (IBL), American Basketball Association (ABA), Premier Basketball League (PBL), and also played overseas in China.  He has won 4 divisional championships over his 5 years of playing, including recently last year playing with the Battle Creek Knights and winning the PBL.  His career averages at the professional level have been outstanding. Including, 14.5 points per game, 6.8 assists per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, but most impressively has shot over 85% from the free throw line and 50% form 3 point range.  This season in the IBL he was a top 5 assist man in the league all season playing for the Holland blast, and was considered by many as one of the top Point guards in the IBL.  

 

  Jeremy credits all his success to his work ethic and knowledge of the game.  "  I understood at a young age that maybe I didn’t have the best size or wasn't the most athletic, but nobody worked harder on there game and I knew no matter what I would always get the most out of myself."  Players are so hungry to learn and get better nowadays, and the talent is there, it just comes down to mastering the fundamentals and pushing yourself to the point where you have no limits.  File, has been a personal trainer over the past 2 years while still playing competitively, and believes his techniques on footwork are matched by none.  He is available to train any athlete with any sport, and also is available to personal train those that just want to live healthy lifestyles.  He is a master at speed/ agility/ plyometric training.  And also is an outstanding strength and conditioning trainer.  If there is anyone looking to get the most out of themselves in the game of basketball and in training, Jeremy File is a great one to have!
